Restaurant Finance Administrator - Based in Wellington / Paarl area
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Restaurant Finance Administrator to oversee the financial health of our restaurant operations and to assist with financial tasks in general. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, stock control and financial analysis to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. This role requires a strong understanding of restaurant operations, cost control, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the restaurant’s stock, budgets, and forecasts.
Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, stock control and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Oversee payroll, vendor payments, and accounts payable/receivable.
Conduct audits on stock and implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
Collaborate with the operations team to improve financial efficiencies.
Utilize financial software and tools to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Proficiency in financial analysis, accounting principles, and cost management.
Experience with accounting software with Excel skills. (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAGE).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of restaurant industry financial metrics and best practices.
